THE PATHWAY TO SELLING:

CLOSING

Approximately three business days before closing: The Title and Escrow company will coordinate the final Buyer and seller signatures. The Title and Escrow company will receive the remaining money from the Buyer and Lender. The money is wired to the Title company on the day of closing. The Title company will clear all liens against the property and wire net profits as appropriate to the seller, and the transaction will be recorded at the local County. At 5pm on the day of closing, ownership is transferred. The seller’s agent will transfer custody of the keys to the Buyer’s agent, who will transfer custody of the keys to the Buyer at that time.
